Liwei WANG Dr. Liwei Wang is professor & vice-chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Fudan University Medical College and consultant psychiatrist at Shanghai Mental Health Center. He is also associate editor and managing editor of Shanghai Archives of Psychiatry. Dr. Wang received his MD and psychiatric residency training at Zhejiang University Medical College and postgraduate neuroscience training at the South China University Yale-in –China Medical College. In 1991-1993, he was awarded a fellowship by the WHO to pursue neuroscience research at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He joined Fudan University in 1996 as associate professor and vice-chairman of the Department of Psychiatry. He has been involved in neuroscience and clinical research since 1993 and has been the principal investigator of several clinical trials. Dr. Wang has received several awards for his research in neuroscience, most recently from the Stanley Foundation. He has published over 50 papers and book chapters in the medical press, including Brain Research and Neuroscience. Much of his research relates to psychopharmacology, the biological foundation and treatment of mood disorders and schizophrenia. He is on the editorial board and reviewer of several mental health journals.
