KHAN Dr. Murad M Khan, MBBS (Kar) MRCPsych (UK), CCST (UK), PhD (Lon) Professor, Department of Psychiatry Aga Khan University Karachi, Pakistan Dr. Murad M Khan is Professor & Chairman Department of Psychiatry at the Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan. He is a graduate of the Dow Medical College, Karachi, Member of Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK and PhD from University of London. He did his higher specialist training in general adult and psychiatry of the elderly at the Maudsley and Kings College Hospitals, London. He is the Principal investigator of Karachi Suicide Study (KASS), a collaborative study with the Institute of Psychiatry, London. He is Chair of Council of National Representatives of IASP and member of the International Academy of Suicide Research (IASR). He has studied suicide and attempted suicide in Pakistan and other Islamic countries and is on the editorial board of several national and international journals. His research and clinical interests include socio-cultural factors in suicidal behavior, mental health of women and elderly, psychosomatic medicine and bioethics.
