Yiru FANG Yiru Fang, M.D. & Ph.D., is a Professor and director of the Division of Mood Disorders at Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Fang has been working in mental health, especially in the field of mood disorders for more than 27 years, with more than 200 publications in Chinese and international psychiatric journals and 20 book chapters. He was selected to be a Guest Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry & Neurology at Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan from 2003 to 2004 and a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, USA in 2008. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Fang has devoted himself to the practice, research, teaching and training of psychiatry. As a PI he has conducted biological, clinical and implementation research projects on depression, subsyndromal symptomatic depression and bipolar disorders which were funded by national and local governments. He also actively participates in international collaboration projects with his international counterparts. Dr. Fang was elected as vice-chairman of the "Chinese Society of Neuroscience & Psychiatry” (CSNP) and also the "East Asia Bipolar Forum” (EABF).
